A short introductory blurb about your character goes here. This should briefly explain who they are, what role they play in the story, and any key traits that define them!
Soup is a Thalassan born and raised on Pelagia, with a near-obsessive interest in the fields of psychology and magically, particularly in the potential overlap the two fields could have. Their interests have led what could sometimes be considered dubious research practices, or "breaches of ethics," depending on the critic. Fortunately, all participants involved gave informed consent, and any and all withheld information was information strictly required to maintain the validity of aforementioned research experiments.

Think of this section as a way to give readers a quick understanding of your character before they read the full page.

While you might think an image is enough to show what your character looks like, it helps enormously to describe your vision in writing as well. This helps a lot with context so artists seeking to draw your character can do so accurately.
Standing at around 5’7”, they are a Thalassan with a skin tone approaching stone coloration, with their animal traits descendant from an Axolotl. As such, they have a set of external gills, and a frilled tail of about 8’, for a total body length of around 13’. Their wavy hair is longer on the right side of their face, and is a similar grey tone to their skin. The possess dark eyes with large irises, lacking eyelids, though their eyes are rarely seen due to the wrap blindfold over their eyes. They’re usually seen wearing a set of olive overalls, with a dark bronze trim at the lower end. Under the overalls, they wear a simple shoulderless blouse with asymmetric oversized sleeves, with frilled detailing on the ends of the sleeves. They wear a sturdy set of boots, paired with a set of black stockings underneath.

This section is meant to provide 'out-of-character context (OOC-friendly lore explanation)' so other users can understand your character’s role in the world. You don't have to give the same level of detail as you did in your whitelist ticket, but share whatever you want your fellow players to know if they read about your character!
You may want to break up this section into further subheadings, like below:

"Sometimes, you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet. A whole carton is wasteful, sure, but the omelet is made, is it not?" — Soup

Appearance

History

Early Life

A woefully ordinary life left much to be desired, in Soup's humble opinion. Everyone’s heard it before. Normal childhood, normal parents, normal overwhelming pressure and need to contribute to the advancement of society, really nothing to write home about. Soup was never really interested in the more clearly defined studies, so when they first heard of the concept of psychology, that instantly drew their attention, later becoming their main profession.

Inciting Event/Turning Point

They’ve had a passing interest in magic, but like most Thalassans born and raised in Pelagia, magic is, at most, a party trick. This way of thinking persisted for most of their life, really until they started pursuing their interests in psychology. They learned of the mind-body connection, which got them wondering. Magic is a very overlooked concept in Thalassan society, yet many other species, even the Abyssals sharing the same planet, use magic. Why is that? The answer they received, after some questioning, was that magic didn’t really abide by any measurable system, and as such, cannot be relied on as a field that could be advanced in. Which. Well. Was quite the hypocritical response to tell someone in the field of psychology. As any normal and rational person would, they took this information personally, and would make it their life’s work to prove everything about that response wrong out of spite.

This initial idea would spiral into an obsession, though they would never admit this. In the following years, they would quit their schooling to travel around Pelagia, conducting independent research of increasing levels of abnormality and morality. With results just barely inconclusive, they began thinking that they needed to control more variables. For as much as Pelagia was their home, Pelagia is ever changing. This resulted in Soup setting their sights over to Locus Astra, potentially the most stable known place in the known universe, yet paradoxically the place that also has the most potential for new discoveries and connections.

Arriving on Locus Astra

As a nomad who spent most of their time living off of traded favors, other’s goodwill, and a bit of the advanced technique known as lying, they naturally did not have the funds to get to Locus Astra legitimately. Thankfully, for all that Thalassan society is advancing in every aspect, old and wealthy people can be easily convinced with the right words. Some relatively harmless social engineering, Soup got the funds needed for a ride over to Locus Astra.

Personality

Soup often projects a calm, neutral personality. They have their thoughts, emotions, and whatnot, but often they deem those as irrelevant or unhelpful for their current goals, and thusly cast off or saved for later. In less professional settings, they’ve been described as sarcastic, yet still quite personable and easy to talk to. Participants in their experiments have conflicting reports towards Soup’s personality, mostly by design. Certain experiments necessitate different behaviors from the researcher, and results must be found. Some have described them as cold, others have been surprised they weren’t raised by the Canari, and others still have described them as ‘off-putting.’ This lack of a defined personality does not come without consequences, they struggle defining where the performance ends and they begin, or even what really constitutes their personality.
