Artemisia [Redacted] is an anxious Lepteran Archival Assistant who resembles a luna moth.

Appearance

“A body is just a vessel. That’s all I feel about it, anymore.”

Artemesia is a Lepteran of average height. Her dark magenta hair is long and unruly, falling past her hips. She has a fluffy coat of green fur, and a collar of thicker yellow fur around her neck. Her carapace extremities are also yellow. Artemisia has 4 pink eyes that, unusually, glow in the dark. Two yellow antennae poke from her hairline. She has striped yellow markings between her primary eyes.

Artemisia usually wears a dark blue jumpsuit with pink stripes and a frankly ridiculous amount of green belts, along with a pair of fingerless gloves.  She seems to favor boxy clothes. As is common among Lepterans, she usually forgoes shoes altogether.

Artemisia’s face is usually scrunched in worry. She is rarely seen smiling. When she doesn't think anyone is watching her, she might stop blinking.

History

“That was a long time ago. I’m a new person now.”

Artemesia seems allergic to telling anyone about where she’s from or her early life, but she’s consistent about two things:

1. She’s from Chitara, her species' homeworld. She has no interest in going back.
2. She’s been working with the Archive of the Unknowable for a while, directly under Echo as her archival assistant.

Artemesia will dance around any other attempts to talk about her past, but she has let slip that she used to work for a major media corporation on Chitara a while back.

Arriving on Locus Astra

Artemesia followed her employer to Locus Astra, presumably for Archive Related Purposes.

Personality

“Oh, no, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean that, I just meant that, that maybe- dammit, I’m sorry!”

Artemesia is a fundamentally anxious person. She constantly stumbles over her words and introjects over herself. She‘s friendly and surprisingly outgoing, but she starts more conversations than she can finish, often making an excuse and bailing after she feels like she messed up. Sometimes literally crawling up walls to escape social situations.

Despite her social awkwardness, she seems to be a good archivist. Her anxiety seems to vanish when she’s asked a question about a topic she is knowledgeable about. She will confidently and kindly explain what she knows, but will probably start babbling on awkwardly if the topic changes.

Echo

“On it, Boss! Don’t worry about it!”

Echo is Artemesia’s boss at the Archive. Artemesia respects her immensely, referring to her as “boss” even when she’s not present. She is extremely dutiful in her role as an assistant, and they spend a lot of time together, but it doesn’t look like they are exactly “friends.” Neither of them seem to be entirely comfortable around the other.
