How to Use This Template

This page is a template and guide. Do not directly edit this page!!

To create your own character page:

• Search for your character's name
• (Hopefully) Nothing comes up, and you will be able to make a new page, If your name is exactly the same as someone else's just change it a little
• Welcome to your wiki page, up top you will see "Insert" , inside of the menu you will see "Template", click on that and search for character.
• You are done, good luck.

The Visual Editor is used for easier editing, and the source editor can be used if you know what you are doing.

If this page was edited accidentally, please tell someone so it can be restored. Sharky periodically takes backups of the wiki. Mistakes happen.

Ensure the new page is properly categorized under Characters.

Appearance

While you might think an image is enough to show what your character looks like, it helps enormously to describe your vision in writing as well. This helps a lot with context so artists seeking to draw your character can do so accurately.

History

Describe your character’s background prior to arriving on Locus Astra.

Think to include...

• Origin story
• Key life events
• Motivations
• Personality development

This section is meant to provide 'out-of-character context (OOC-friendly lore explanation)' so other users can understand your character’s role in the world. You don't have to give the same level of detail as you did in your whitelist ticket, but share whatever you want your fellow players to know if they read about your character!

You may want to break up this section into further subheadings, like below:

Early Life

Childhood and upbringing.

Inciting Event/Turning Point

Something happens that changes your character forever...

Arriving on Locus Astra

Events leading right up to the start of the SMP that explains who they are now and why they are that way.

You can add as many subsections as you want.

Personality

Describe how your character tends to act, and what their goals are for the campaign! Here you can explain their beliefs, ideology, and their dreams for the future.

Relationships

This is arguably the most fun section. Here, add subsections for friends, fellow players, your character's family, pets... whatever.

Extras

Here's all the other bells and whistles... for your artwork, screenshots, trivia facts, and music.

For an image gallery, use the "Insert Gallery" feature in the editor. Or, just insert a standard image!
