"DISTRACTION CHEESE!!" — Blitz

Blitz is a mouse Lagoran teenager, and the Check Mates' technology 'expert'. Energetic, brave to a fault, and fanatical about the Queen, Blitz seeks to claim more territory and property in the name of the Queen, to let the Check Mates become the greatest band of outlaws on Locus Astra.

Appearance

Blitz is a teeny tiny mouse Lagoran with light gray/blue fur and pale blue eyes. They wear goggles, a brown shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and pants with black boots. They have several checkerboard-patterned ribbons tied to them and have pawn-shaped earrings. One of these earrings appears to have some kind of.. technology? They call it "enhancements" but no one is truly sure on what it does.

History

Blitz is a member of the Check Mates, and arrived on Locus Astra with the rest of them. Little else is known about them.

Personality

Blitz is extremely interested in technology (AND EXPLOSIVES), very energetic and somewhat naive at times. They tend to be brave and cheerful, extremely fanatic in their adoration of the Queen and their mission to claim more territory and property in her name. They might sound younger than their age due to their attitude and energy, but most of their mental energy goes into their wonderful creations and technologies... Truly gifted but so so stupid.

Relationships

Checkers

Checkers is Blitz's fellow Check Mate and the two are quite close, one rarely being seen without the other when they can help it. Blitz sometimes speeds around too fast to notice where she is, but always calls to her to make sure she's not too far. Checkers refused to leave behind Blitz for any reason, and when Checkers was captured, Blitz broke her out within a day.

Mercutio

Scary scary guy. Blitz runs away any time Mercutio is near due to their troubled past. Despite this, she really wants to see his mechanics and likes his metal arm.

Nova

Robot. Blitz likes robots. They give cheese to Nova whenever they are around, and has in the past attempted to convince the Check Mates to let Nova join.

• Blitz's name comes from the term 'mouse slip', which happens when a player drops a piece onto the wrong square due to a slip of a computer mouse during a chess game, which alters the outcome in blitz or bullet games.
