"If your character has something cool to say, add it here." — Character Name

Henry is an Aurelian who has been pardoned of murder and various other lesser crimes for the sake of his participation in the pathfinder initiative as one of the few surviving former members of the Wayfarer's Guild. Most recently he has been doing odd jobs in the general field of engineering to earn a living. He has had a very tumultuous past that has caused him to travel to many places and be part of various groups while never really finding any long lasting place to call home.

There are a number of public records that indicate that Henry was formerly known as Henry Solaris and was a member of the Solaris Family's interstellar mining corporation though the family itself has publicly refuted this claim and alleges no affiliation.

History

Henry Solaris - Early Life

Note that the Solaris Family continues to publicly state to this day that Henry, the former member of the Wayfarers, and Henry Solaris, former member of the the Solaris Family, are two separate individuals who share a passing resemblance and no hard evidence exists that contradicts this statement. Hearsay and other circumstantial evidence have fueled a number of rumors that they are indeed the same person but there is no clear public consensus.

The Solaris Family is a long standing and reputable family within The Aurelium Exculta the owns and operates a fairly large privately owned interstellar mining corporation. The ownership of this corporation and assets within it had historically been passed down within the family through a very rigid line of succession that remained unbroken for many generations. Around the time the individual who would later be named Henry Solaris would've been born, the Solaris Family found itself in an unstable situation where the current head of the family was unable to have children. Foreseeing the inevitable power grab by their siblings, the head of the family started an initiative to adopt prospective heirs to eventually fill the power vacuum following their passing.

Henry Solaris, was adopted as one of these prospective heirs at a very young age and has no memories or records of his biological family. Following this he would've been taken to the flagship of the Solaris Family's interstellar mining fleet where he would've spent his formative years and received an education alongside a number of siblings in order to prepare them to one day be the head of the Solaris Family.

Henry Solaris - Incident

Upon turning 18, Henry Solaris and his siblings had ships charted for them to the Eden Construct to receive higher education for 4 years in a discipline related to the operations of the family's corporation. In Henry's case he excelled in technical fields and as such was sent to study engineering with a specialization in the operations of starships. Following this period, instead of returning directly to the mining fleet he would be sent to one of the local mining operations within the star system. Testimonies of the time from the, then newly formed, Wayfarer's Guild allege that the mining operation that Henry Solaris was sent to was one of the illegal Aurelian mining operations taking place at the time on the moons of Virilune. This has been strongly disputed by the Solaris Family however who claims that at the time they had not yet engaged in such operations and their participation in them was a later development after Henry was given jurisdiction over the operations in that star system. No hard evidence has been presented by either side, though the increasing reputation of the Wayfarers over time has inclined more and more in the public to believe their version of the events.

According to the Wayfarers account, Henry Solaris was present at an incident between the staff of the illegal mining operation and a Felari vigilante organization that resulted in a number of cave-ins in the mines and a large number of fatalities. The Wayfarers claim that following the accident, they rescued a number of individuals from both sides of the conflict including Henry Solaris who was discovered nearly dead and trapped in a section of the mines isolated by the collapse. Once Henry was determined to be medically stable he was handed over to authorities and arrested for his involvement in the operation. No records of this alleged arrest exist, though the Wayfarers claim that the lack of record is the fault of corruption as well as the complacency of the Celestial Coucil in it's handling of the illegal mining operations on Virilune. There is also no indication that Henry served any jail time following this arrest as he was seen making brief public appearances only a few days after the incident is reported to have occurred.

Henry Solaris - Exile

A couple of years following the incident reported by the Wayfarers Henry would rise through the ranks of the Solaris family and eventually would come to have jurisdiction over the mining operations in a number of star systems, notably including the star system containing both Virilune and the Eden Construct.

A few years following this, a scandal would occur when, as part of an agreement between the Celestial Coucil and the Sutradhar, more efforts would be made to hold mining corporations accountable for illegal operations on protected lands such as the moons of Virilune. During this crack down on mining corporations, involvement of the Solaris Family would be proven in a number of prior mining operations on the moons of Virilune. Facing public backlash and legal troubles, the Family made the statement that these operations were not recognized or sanctioned by the broader family and were the sole responsibility of the current member in charge of that star system, Henry Solaris, as well as his subordinates. The family would be forced to pay hefty fines by the Celestial Council for it's involvement in the operations while the public demanded more punitive measures be taken for those responsible. Following an internal investigation, the family would corroborate it's earlier claims that responsibility fall with Henry Solaris and those under him. The family then publicly disowned Henry Solaris and exiled him from all starships owned by the family or affiliates of the family.

No public records exist of Henry Solaris' whereabouts following this.

Henry - Wayfarers

Very few public records exist of Henry before joining the Wayfarers guild aside from a number of arrest warrants regarding an individual that roughly matches Henry's physical description. The locations these warrants were recorded at seems to loosely trace out a path from the rough location of the Solaris Family's mining fleet at the time of the exile of Henry Solaris to the warp gate of the star system followed by appearances in star systems following reported incidents of activity from the Wayfarer's Guild. Witnesses have later come forward and corroborated the appearance of an individual along this path that bears resemblance to Henry, with some claiming to have allowed him to take on small off the books maintenance jobs in exchange for money. A number of pilots have come forward describing allowing a man matching Henry's description to hitchhike on their ship from one space station to the next. The stations Henry is alleged to have traveled between is consistent with the path described earlier.

These warrants and testimonies all occur over a period encompassing a number of years which then ends the same year that the Wayfarer's Guild would report finding Henry while refueling and agreeing to allow him to join their organization. The next several years would be spent with the Wayfarer's guild, the timeline of which can be found here.

Henry - Post Wayfarers

Immediately following the mysterious tragedy that ended the Wayfarer's Guild, an escape pod containing Henry alongside the brutally disfigured remains of a Lepteran. Henry would then be arrested under suspicion of foul play, would then be recognized as the subject of the arrest warrants mentioned in the previous section, and then taken into custody and charged with a number of crimes including murder. Some people involved in the process say that Henry's arrest and subsequent trial was moving unusually fast. Henry would be held in jail during the proceedings as it was determined that he could not pay his bond.

Henry would be convicted guilty on all accounts.

Toward the end of the proceedings, before a sentencing hearing could be held, a known criminal organization called the Steele Sharks who engaged in piracy among other illegal activities would break into the jail holding Henry and free him. Henry would then reportedly be seen with the crew of the Steele sharks on a number of occasions for the following two years. Some time following the trial of Henry the Lepteran he was found with would be positively identified as the former member of the Wayfarer's Guild, Horace Vibius.

Henry's whereabouts immediately following his time with the Steele Sharks is mostly unknown, though his conviction and subsequent prison break meant that during this period he had warrants out for his arrest in most star systems.

Henry - Pathfinding Initiative

When the High Stellar Council announced the Pathfinding Initiative and it became known that the former leader of the Wayfarer's Guild, Dr. Maya Sherazi, would be taking part, Henry would reach out to the High Stellar Council and be pardoned for the aforementioned crimes in exchange for participating in the expedition to Locus Astra.
